About The Guitar tutor
My name is Ryan Walker, I am a professional musician, songwriter and guitar tutor living and working in Bristol. It’s been 26 years since I picked up a guitar, though initially I put it down as soon as I’d picked it up!
Originally trained as an actor at Dartington College of Arts, with a BA in contemporary theatre, I made the decision to make the guitar my career at 19 and since then have played in various groups and taught progressively across the UK South.
For the last eight years I’ve been playing and writing for gypsy-stomp group, The Rin Tins. All our albums are available on Bandcamp and the lastest can be found on Spotify.
If you're an advanced player, stuck in a rut and unsure where to take your playing, or an absolute beginner just starting out on the guitar or ukulele, I can help you take the next steps what ever they may be. Some people want to be able to play a few songs at a house party, others want to form a band and change the world! We all have different reasons to play an instrument, but the path we take can be the same.
Based in a quiet corner of Clifton, Bristol, I teach all levels of guitar and ukulele and am firmly steadfast in my belief that anyone can play an instrument!
